These are some of the older tower servers that are going to eventually get converted to all rack mount in the next few months. The cost of rack mount cases have come down in price in the last year, there is no reason not to use it. Real-estate for server space is precious, so why waste space?

Another row of servers, the towers take up a lot of space, this is why our NOC is converting everything to the rack mounts.  Since the Internet is growing so rapidly, conserving space is very important thing to think about now
